{"id":2064,"date":"2007-11-22T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2007-11-22T20:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jasonbot.com\/?p=2064"},"modified":"2007-11-22T12:08:00","modified_gmt":"2007-11-22T20:08:00","slug":"a-magical-sprite-and-a-thanksgiving-flashback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbot.com\/?p=2064","title":{"rendered":"A Magical Sprite and a Thanksgiving Flashback"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"left\">(<i>Posting early for Thanksgiving&#8230;<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sprite_%28computer_graphics%29\">sprite<\/a> is <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Orko\">Orko<\/a>, who is not actually a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sprite_%28creature%29\">Sprite<\/a>&#8221; at all, but a Trollan:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"WIDTH: 284px\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbot.com\/bootlegsketch\/orkospriteweb.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>I started this a while back when I was trying to get into <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rpg_Maker\">RPG Maker<\/a>. The general proportions of the head (particularly the spacing of the eyes) mimic those of RPG Maker&#8217;s character sprites, but this was rendered from scratch. I did try animating this at one point, but it was choppy at best.
