In fact, I hardly ever shut up about it. From <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Street_Fighter_3\">Street Fighter III<\/a>, here&#8217;s the mysterious <a href=\"http:\/\/streetfighter.wikia.com\/wiki\/Q\">Q<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbot.com\/bootlegsketch\/SFqweb.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"WIDTH: 250px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbot.com\/bootlegsketch\/SFqweb.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size:78%;\">click above for larger view<\/span><\/div>\n<p>Q doesn&#8217;t exactly fit in with the assorted commandoes, kickboxers, and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Karateka_(martial_arts)\">karatekas<\/a> of the Street Fighter universe. Judging by his name and face mask, he appears to be based on <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shotaro_Ishinomori\">Shotaro Ishinomori<\/a>&#8216;s character <a href=\"http:\/\/www.henshinhalloffame.com\/rd\/\">Robot Detective K<\/a>. However, he also bears a strong resemblence to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mitsuteru_Yokoyama\">Mitsuteru Yokoyama<\/a>&#8216;s character Iron Mask (from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Babel_II\">Babel II<\/a>), and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Osamu_Tezuka\">Osamu Tezuka<\/a>&#8216;s character Pero (from Astroboy and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metropolis_(2001_film)\">Metropolis<\/a>). <\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, all three of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mangaka\">mangaka<\/a> that I just mentioned were contemporaries. Ishinomori was Tezuka&#8217;s assistant at one point (this is well documented), and I&#8217;ve read the same thing about Yokoyama (but I couldn&#8217;t find a reliable source on that). If you&#8217;re a fan of manga, anime, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tokusatsu\">tokusatsu<\/a>, or even Japanese-made video games, I highly recommend that you check out the works (and derivations there of) of Tezuka, Ishinomori, and Yokoyama.
