Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rorschach_(comics)\">Rorschach<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Watchmen\">Watchmen<\/a>, resurrected as a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Black_Lantern\">Black Lantern<\/a>, presumably planning to extract vengeance from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Characters_of_Watchmen#Doctor_Manhattan_.28Dr._Jon_Osterman.29\">Dr. Manhattan<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Characters_of_Watchmen#Ozymandias_.28Adrian_Veidt.29\">Ozymandias<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbot.com\/bootlegsketch\/rorschachblackweb.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"WIDTH: 350px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbot.com\/bootlegsketch\/rorschachblackweb.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size:78%;\">click above for larger view<\/span><\/div>\n<p>This one turned out a little better  than I expected. As I was drawing it, I had no idea how I was going to approach the coloring, but things ended up working out. Occasionally that happens. <i>Occasionally<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>For those who missed this particular detail&#8211;the ink blots on his mask are in the midst of forming the Black Lantern symbol&#8211;you can thank <a href=\"http:\/\/bbcinnercircle.blogspot.com\/\">Josh<\/a> for suggesting that! And the ring construct grapple gun is fairly accurately derived from Rorschach&#8217;s device in <i>Watchmen<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>My apologies to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alan_Moore\">Alan Moore<\/a>. I love the man&#8217;s work, but I can&#8217;t resist the lure of stupidly awesome nerd crossovers! I&#8217;ve got another <i>Watchmen<\/i>-related post in the &#8220;Things That Should Not Be&#8221; category&#8230; I think I might have it ready for next week.
